Gina and Carlos are one of the most fun loving couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. You might remember their uber glamorous engagement session at the Neon Museum, and after that photoshoot, I knew their wedding would be absolutely amazing! On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, they held their Revere Golf Club wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada and got ready in the ultra luxurious suites at M Resort. When Gina opened her gift box from Carlos, she found dozens of mementos of their relationship – event tickets, cards they had given to each other and a single gold dipped rose. (On every anniversary, Carlos brings her red roses, which inspired the red and gold color palette and bold florals for the wedding.) It was like Carlos had been planning and saving these for this exact moment from the day that they met. His card to her professed, “I love you more than you love champagne and mimosas.” Ha! I loved it.

At the golf club, the bride and her dad had a private first look as she held back her tears. Then Gina went to meet her groom and Carlos’ reaction was one of the best I’ve ever seen. He was so thrilled and couldn’t stop hugging, kissing and laughing with his bride. The ceremony was held out on the golf course with views of the Las Vegas Strip in the background. I just love the dramatic grass hill Gina walked over with her dad as she approached the ceremony. Afterwards, guests headed up for cocktails and I got to play with the most stunning sunset light beaming through the trees for the couple’s portraits. As Gina wrapped her veil around herself and held her flowers up to her face, she was actually just trying to keep herself warm, but it ended up being one of my favorite shots of the day!

Hands down, the most memorable part of the day was the couple’s first dance, choreographed by A Perfect Wedding Dance. Carlos put a rose in his teeth and spun his bride around the floor in a dramatic tango, ending with a more casual fun dance where the bridal party joined in. Instead a traditional wedding cake, the couple opted for handmade cannolis and a sign saying “leave the gun, take the cannolis” – a famous quote from The Godfather. The pair danced the night away with hundreds of friends and family in tow. It was truly an amazing wedding with the most fun bridal party! Thanks for having me as part of your day and congrats again Gina & Carlos!
