Nicole and Chris were married on a beautiful Spring day at the luxurious Green Valley Ranch Resort just outside of the heart of Las Vegas. Since the couple chose to see each other for the first time as Nicole walked down the aisle, they knew they wanted an amazing backdrop for that moment. Scheme Events and Layers of Lovely expertly created an incredible scene for their ceremony, with an arbor draped in blush chiffon, gorgeous floral arrangements, and a wooden sign at the end of the aisle expressing “This is how our love story begins.” As they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, guests showered the newlyweds with rose petals.
After the ceremony, guests flooded inside for celebratory cocktails while we did some sunset portraits in the hotel’s gardens, including some shots with the property’s dramatic white architectural features. Nicole was glowing with happiness, and they couldn’t wait to get to their reception in the chic Lobby Bar. The room was filled with wooden tables topped with pink and cream flowers, gold glitter chargers, tall candles, menus, DIY favors and surrounded by tall chiavari chairs. Mirrored walls made the space glow with candlelight. The couple performed a choreographed first dance, which was “I’ve Had The Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing! The rest of the night was a festival of life and love, and the whole room danced and took photos at the photobooth, in front of a large boxwood wall with cutout script letters spelling “Love.”
Nicole and Chris are truly, madly in love. After photographing so many weddings over the years, there’s a certain way that a couple looks into each other’s eyes that tells you… it’s just plain right. Congrats Nicole + Chris and thank you for choosing me to capture your real moments!
