As we’re approaching the end of the summer and saying goodbye to lazy afternoons in the water and warm evenings on the patio, Paulina Clute Events and I were inspired to capture that dreamy energy in a styled wedding photoshoot. Our first step was determining the location, and we opted to stage a beautiful Historic Fifth Street School wedding in downtown Las Vegas. The school was named for its location on Fifth Street, which was actually renamed to Las Vegas Blvd. in 1959. It’s now one of the most charming, historic wedding venues in Las Vegas with its white walls, courtyard fountains and hallways lined with wood columns.
Weddings By Dzign completely nailed the vision for floral and decor, using the rich colors of summer in their design. The tablescpape featured abundant greenery, pops of bold colors, rose gold flatware, ivory pillar candles and cornflower blue goblets. The finishing touch was to accent the table with a bountiful harvest of ripe fruits and vegetables. Paper and Home created menus and an invitation suite with a romantic design and the beautiful text, “Together we laugh, we love, we dream, and on this day, we marry.” Masterpiece Cuisine catered small, fresh summer bites to go along with the shoot, and Masterpiece Cake Studio crafted a gorgeous white cake with brightly colored sugar flowers and a fondant wood texture.
Our bride Ariana wore a flowy, romantic organza gown designed by Theia and available at Brilliant Bridal. Our groom Guiseppe matched her elegance in a sleek blue and black tux from Tuxedo Junction. Amelia C & Co. created the most gorgeous hair and makeup look for Ariana, with pretty pink lips and beautiful soft waves in her hair. Pure Light Creative was also on hand creating one of their amazing 16mm films to accompany these images. During the shoot, Las Vegas Rickshaw also stopped by to give our “newlyweds” a ride to their next destination.
The images from this styled shoot truly embody our lush daydream and the partnering vendors really stunned us with incredible contributions. Thank you all for making this summer vision into reality with our Historic Fifth Street School wedding inspiration!
“It was June, and the world smelled of roses. The sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside.”
