Jen and I have been friends for nearly a decade, and I couldn’t be happier that she has found the love of her life in Michael. These two are so well suited for each other—both have amazing senses of humor, can be professional at work and easy going with home life, and enjoy drinking wine and eating great food together (one of the reasons we get along so well too). When Jen first started dating Michael, we got together for a girls’ happy hour and she gushed to me that it was just so easy to be with him. She loved how much fun they naturally had being in each other’s presence. In my opinion, that’s the secret to finding a great partner—just truly and simply enjoying each other’s company above all else.
These two were supposed to be married this week in an intimate surprise wedding disguised as celebrating the bride’s birthday. Due to COVID restrictions, they have pushed their wedding celebration to Spring 2021. While it was a very hard decision for them, ultimately it reduced the amount of stress they were associating with trying to plan their wedding AND it gave them more time to enjoy being engaged! Although it was clear very early on to both Jen and Michael that this was a forever kind of love, they didn’t become officially engaged until a few months ago. I’m over the moon happy for these two and it’s a true love story you just can’t wait to share, as a friend and a photographer.
