Kelsey + Hamilton are getting married later this year at Revere Golf Club in Kelsey’s hometown of Las Vegas, but they wanted their engagement session to reflect where they currently live: San Francisco. Kelsey knew of some beautiful local spots for portraits and although I’d never been to the Sutro Baths before, I have to say my jaw dropped when I saw that incredible view. The concrete ruins are the remains of the grand Sutro Baths from the turn of the century, and visitors flock to the area to walk along the foundations, take in the amazing ocean view and see the glowing sunsets. Kelsey’s glamorous Nha Khanh ivory gown was perfect for romantic, breezy portraits on the ruins and around the surrounding hills. We also did some more casual portraits at the Wood Line in The Presidio park–a curvy line of trees created by renowned artist Andy Goldsworthy.
I absolutely love traveling for photography and exploring new places. It gives me a chance to play with new light and locations and awakens my creative sense. However, the best part was that I got to meet two lovely people and create some amazing memories for them! Kelsey and Hamilton love to laugh and be silly with each other and I know their October wedding is going to be full of fun.
